Email your new MSs: It’s time for Wales to take bold action to end homelessness

You can call on your newly elected Members of the Senedd (MSs) to help build a future where everyone in Wales has a safe, secure home.

Speak up and ask them to back bold action to end homelessness.

Your newly elected Members of the Senedd can play a key role in ending homelessness in Wales.

Homelessness is not inevitable. With the right changes, we can build a future where everyone has the foundation of a safe, secure home.

But right now, more than 12,000 households across Wales are facing the very worst forms of homelessness – sleeping on sofas, living in cars, stuck in temporary accommodation, or even sleeping on our streets. It’s unacceptable. And it doesn’t have to be this way.

We need the new government and elected Members of the Senedd to commit to taking bold action on homelessness by:

  • Creating a new strategy to end all forms of homelessness in Wales.
  • Putting into practice recently passed legislation to better prevent homelessness and improve support for people experiencing homelessness.
  • Investing in boosting the supply of the safe, genuinely affordable homes we need.

Many MSs are serving in the Senedd for the first time. This is our opportunity to show them that their constituents - that's you! - are calling for a nation where no one is pushed into homelessness.

So, let’s get homelessness on their agenda. Email your local MSs and urge them to commit to action to end homelessness.

What are MSs and how can they end homelessness?

Members of the Senedd (MSs) form our Welsh Parliament. You have six MSs for your area – all of them represent you equally.

Powers to make changes on housing and homelessness are devolved to the Senedd.

That means your MSs can play a key role in ending homelessness in Wales.

Enter your postcode to get started. You can view and edit your email to the six MSs for your area on the next page.

If you don’t have a permanent or fixed address with a postcode, you could use the postcode of a location where you spend a lot of your time (during the day or night). This might be a day service or night shelter, for example. Please see our privacy policy for how we process your data.
